Color Challenge

I am back from Leadership and trying to get back into the swing of things.  I decided to work on the Color Challenge over on SCS.  Bravo Burgundy, Baja Breeze and Pear Pizzazz.  I started working on it this morning and had to help my Jack work on the Great Room.  There might be some sawdust on this card.  HA!  He is now gone at work and so I was able to finish.
I used a set that we were given at Leadership called Clearly for You.  The images in the ovals were stamped with that set.  The Crumb Cake bottom of the card piece is stamped with a wheel called Elegance.  The roses are our Vanilla Rosettes that I colored with our markers.  LOVE that we can do that.  We can color our ribbon so those are quick and easy to color up!  Wooohooo!!!
Stamp Set:  Clearly for You, Elegance Wheel
Cardstock:  Baja Breeze, Bravo Burgundy, Crumb Cake and Springtime Vintage Designer Series Paper
Ink:  Bravo Burgundy, Crumb Cake
Accessories:  Bravo Burgundy and Baja Breeze Markers, Basic Pearls, Pear Pizzazz Ribbon, Baja Breeze Seam Binding Ribbon, Vanilla Rosettes, Tasteful Trim Die, Victoria Crochet Trim, Oval Punches

Leadership and Swaps

This week I will be heading to Nashville to attend the Stampin' Up! Leadership Conference.  I am sooooo excited.  My friends Dawn Marie and Emma are buddies going with and we are bouncing off of the walls!!!  We are starting out Tuesday night at a Michigan Mingler dinner and then fly out on Wednesday.  I signed up for 2 swaps.  The set I chose to use is Thanks for Caring.  A lovely new sympathy set in the new Occasions Mini Catalog.

Besides the Thanks for Caring set I used the Vintage Frames Stencil sponged with Always Artichoke.  The flower is made from the Fun Flowers Bigz L Die with an Antique Brad in the center.
Cardstock:  Rose Red, Always Artichoke, Crumb Cake and the new Springtime Vintage Designer Series Paper.
Accessories:  Decorative Label Punch, Oval Punches, Crochet Trim and the wonderful new color of Crumb Cake Seam Binding Ribbon.

This card I wanted to show off the butterfly without cutting it out.  It is stamped and then I added Baja Breeze with a Blender Pen.  After that dried I brushed it Champagne Mist Paint using a Blender Pen.  I love the little sparkle that it gave.
Ink:  Early Espresso, Baja Breeze
Cardstock:  Very Vanilla, Crumb Cake, Baja Breeze and Springtime Vintage Designer Series Paper
Accessories:  Sticky Strip, Baja Breeze Seam Binding Ribbon(LOVE this), Tasteful Trim Bigz XL Die, Top Note Die, and the gorgeous Framed Tulips Embossing Folder.  This folder is gorgeous.  I love it!

As most of you know, we will be getting a bag from Stampin' Up! at Leadership and these are the tags I made up for us.  Aren't they fun!?!!  I cannot wait to go!

*Contact the bloggers that you have awarded

My 8 things:
1.  I have been married to my Jack for 31 years.  LOVE him.  He is a true gem.

8.  I am part of a group of wonderful people called the Michigan Minglers.  We chat online and in real life visit each other quite often.

Now, in no specific order, I am inspired by:

Erin
The last one is not a stamping blog, but she inspires me every day.  And I listed more than 8.

Thank you again Heide!

Tech Class Faux Silk Petal Cone

My Techniques Class for January is tomorrow. The focus is Valentine's Day. I have been wanting to use the Faux Silk Technique and it is easy and fun!
The card uses the Filled With Love Bundle.  The bundle is the Filled with Love Stamp Set, exclusive Love Patterns Designer Series Paper Pack and you get a FREE package of Bitty Buttons!  The card base is Real Red, then a Pretty in Pink layer punched with the Pinking Hearts Border Punch.  I used Real Red ink to stamp with and the heart has the Faux Silk Technique on it.  I also punched a heart in Real Red and put one of the buttons over that with Linen Thread.    The pink ribbon is 3/8" taffeta.
Here is a close up of the heart.  I love that button!

This candy holder is made using the new Petal Cone Die.  I LOVE this.  It is sooooo fun and can be used for many occasions.  There is red and white Satin Ribbon, and again the colors used are Real Red and Pretty in Pink.

New Occasions Mini and Swaps!

The new Occasions Mini is here and boy is it full of a lot of wonderful!  This card is for a swap I am in and I have also been working on swaps for Leadership.  I will show you those in a couple of days.

This card uses the You're a Gem set.  I bought the set because my husband is a gem.  He is not going to get this card because it is a girly card.  But the saying is definitely for him!  The flower is made using the Fun Flowers Bigz L Die.   It is made with Not Quite Navy and Baja Breeze.  I attached a Basic Rhinestone to the center.  The paper is Springtime Vintage Designer Series.  LOVE it.  The ribbon is Baja Breeze!  Yes!  They have added more colors of the Seam Binding Ribbon.  I am ecstatic about that!  The card base is Not Quite Navy and the piece on top of that is River Rock.
