Textile Roses!

Tonight I worked on a couple of challenges from over on SCS. When Emma was here on Monday it got me looking at doing some challenges. I TRIED her CAS (Clean and Simple) style because her work is just gorgeous and I just can't do it. I cannot leave my work alone. I have to layer, sponge, fiddle with, and smoosh. ANYway...

This is what I came up with for the Sketch Challenge and the Ways to Use It Challenge.

The roses and leaves are made with upholstery fabric using the Table Setting Bigz Die from the Holiday Mini. And yes, I sponged them! I could not help it! I know the Die isn't current but I have been wanting to make these for awhile. I am hoping to see it in the catalog coming out this summer.
What is current right now is everything else. The Sweet Pea Designer Series Paper Stack! That is what the roses are layered on. That paper pack is beautiful. I know I sponged it up but you can get a better look at it if you click on my photo. Or contact me to see the whole pack.

WICKED White!

There are challenges over on SCS (Splitcoast Stampers) called WICKED. This is an acronym for Wonderfully Inspiring Challenges Keep Educating Demos.
This card is supposed to be CAS. Clean and simple. And then it had to be all white. Do you know how hard it is to photograph all white? Holy cow!!! To really see the detail click on the picture and you will see that the layer the butterflies are on is embossed as well as the small scalloped panel.
Stamp set: Well Scripted, Very Vintage Wheel
Cardstock: Shimmery White
Ink: Craft White
Accessories: White Emboss Powder, White Satin Ribbon, Perfect Polka Dots Impressions Folder, Scallop Oval and Wide Oval Punches, Beautiful Wings Embosslit, Dazzling Diamonds Glitter

Simply Adorned

This is Stampin' Up!'s Simply Adorned line of jewelry or home decor. They are beautiful pieces that are exclusive charms and chains. The chains are stainless steel and the charms are nickel-plated and include tempered, beveled glass on the front of the larger charms, flat glass on the back and a lobster clasp. The 5/8 inch charms only have flat glass.

This shows the front of the 1"x1-1/4" Rectangle Charm with the 24" Chain. The bracelet with the 5/8" Circle Charm and the 5/8" Square Charm.

This shows the back of the charms.
The charms can also be hung with ribbon for decoration on Christmas trees or in a window. Can you think of other ideas?

Valentines in January Class

Last night club/class started back up. It was nice to get back into the swing and stamp with friends! We had much fun!!!

This card was made using the With All My Heart set. The Happy Valentine's Day is from Teeny Tiny Wishes. The "love" is from Tiny Tags.
Cardstock: Real Red, Very Vanilla, Chocolate Chip, Pretty in Pink and Sending Love Specialty Designer Series Paper. The Sending Love is fun and sparkly! I love it! The flowers are glittered although it is hard to tell in this photo. If you click on the photo it will enlarge and you will see how sparkly it is.
Ink: Real Red, Chocolate Chip
Accessories: Extra Large Fancy Flower Punch, 1 inch circle punch, Real Red Epoxy Brads, Twine, Jewelry Tag Punch, Pinking Hearts Border Punch, Chocolate Chip Satin Ribbon, Dazzling Diamonds glitter.

Isn't this Mini Milk Carton adorable!?!?! It is a new Bigz L Die in the Occasions Mini.

Name Frames

My folks asked me to make some name frames for them to give as Christmas gifts. I have not made name frames for a couple of years and had been brainstorming what I wanted to do with them. Well, after the family being sick in October and my Mom's leukemia diagnosis in November I had not started them. Because of that I was able to use Vintage Vogue and Very Vintage. When I saw those in the preorder I was excited and knew exactly what I was going to use. So those along with the filigree in Friends 24-7 and the Symphony Wheel, I went to work. Although they are very similar, I tried to make each one different with a bit of color and placement of tags and such.
I used Soft Suede for the lettering with Timeless Type. Stamping was done with Soft Suede and Sahara Sand. Cardstock is Thoroughly Modern Designer Series Paper and Very Vanilla. Ribbon is the new Satin Ribbon and the brads are the vanilla jumbo brads. The Scallop Trim Border Punch was also used.

The bit of color here is Ruby Red.

The bit of color on this one is Always Artichoke.
The bit of color here is Bordering Blue.
Now I think I need to make one of these for my own house. What do you think?

Friends!

I was able to spend some time in my stamp room yesterday. I love that two of the new sets in the Occasions mini have a friend(s) stamp. This is what I accomplished.

This uses the set With All My Heart. What a fun set! And the Designer Series Paper Sending Love coordinates with it. It is wonderful and has sparkles! Love that.
The inks used are Real Red and Pretty in Pink. I stamped on Very Vanilla Cardstock. How do you like the Real Red scallop frame? That was done using the Scallop Trim corner punch in the Occasions Mini and the Scallop Trim Border punch in the Sale-a-Bration Mini! YES! you can get that one FREE! How cool is that! I added Dazzling Diamonds on the littlest flower that I layerd and then added a Rhinestone brad. The Vanilla Satin ribbon is new. There are 9 colors to choose from of that. It is fabulous.

This uses the Vintage Vogue set and the Very Vintage Wheel. These are my absolute favorites in the Occasions Mini. I stamped on Shimmery White with Going Gray, Basic Gray and Pretty in Pink. The Friends was stamped on Pretty in Pink. I rocked and rolled the flowers and cut them out. The Pretty in Pink corduroy button is in the mini as well. They also come in Real Red. I used the Scallop punches again on this card.
