Emma!!!

It's ALL Emma's fault. She made me do it! I have seen the Scallop Paper Roses everywhere and then Emma went and made this video tutorial. So of course I had to make one. Well, three. I decided to use the sketch challenge over on SCS.
Aren't these roses just so very cool!? They are fun to make. I am glad I quit procrastinating and made them.
Everything to make this was ©Stampin' Up!
Sets: Vintage Vogue, Very Vintage Wheel
Cardstock: Sahara Sand, Thoroughly Modern Designer Series Paper, Rose Red, Soft Suede, Whisper White
Ink: Sahara Sand, Soft Suede
Accessories: Scallop Circle Punch, Scallop Trim Punch, Small Oval Punch, Polka Dot Soft Suede Ribbon. The panel behind the roses I put through the crimper several times both ways to give it some texture. The whole thing has been sprayed with Shimmer Paint. I got kind of carried away. Click on the photo and you can see that. And yes, I got sappy and put love you friend on there.

Happy Valentine's Day to Elise and Irelyn

Grandma Deb (that's me *grins*) had to send something to Elise and Irelyn for Valentine's Day. I sent the package off today.
They are both getting a charm bracelet with a charm. One side has a stamped sparkly heart and the other a stamped sparkly crown. Elise's is the pink one and Irelyn's is the purple. I hope they like them. The plan is to give a charm for birthdays and Christmas.

I used the Tiny Tags set in the Occasions Mini to stamp the charms. The bracelet and charms are ©Stampin' Up! Simply Adorned. I love them! The charms and bracelets all come individually in their own brown jewelry box. I went ahead and attached the charms to their bracelets and put each one in a box. The packaging is the Fancy Favor Bigz XL Die. I used the Razzleberry Lemonade Designer Series Paper since it uses the colors I used to stamp the charms. The heart is made with the Scalloped Heart of Hearts Embosslits Die. The name tag is done with the oval punches.

Loving Faux Suede!

The flowers on these cards is the Faux Suede Technique! It is so easy and I love it!

The flowers are punched with the Extra Large Fancy Flower Punch. Then you curl the cardstock with a bone folder and your thumb like you would ribbon. Do this to both sides in all directions until the fibers are broken. The cardstock will start to split. Pull the pieces apart carefully into two pieces. There you have it, Faux Suede. To see a better view of what this looks like just click on the pictures and it will show an upclose of the cards.

The back-ground of the cards is Emerging Color. I used a stencil on these cards but you can easily use a stamp. First I stamped the background in Chocolate Chip with the Very Vintage Wheel. Then I inked the area of the stencil with versamark and then embossed with clear embossing powder. Then sponged color using Bashful Blue, Pretty in Pink, Chocolate Chip and Sahara Sand.
