Jen and Fabulous Friends Club

Okay!!! I am getting the big push to get this going. I need a header and a friend is working on that. (no hurry) Jen (JJStamper) is linking me from her blog so I guess I better post some more.
This is me and Jen a couple of weeks ago when she visited.

That Friday also happened to be my birthday and my club actually all celebrated it!!! I was very humbled and thought I was getting cake. When they said give them a few minutes, I knew something more was cooked up and went and grabbed the camera. They sang and danced to "They Say It's Your Birthday". It was hilarious! My friends are from the left: Robin Vlietstra, then Jen Visser (JJstamper), Patti Regan, Jane Duhan and my sister Lori Jean Streu. Aren't they lovely!!! They also each gave me a gift and just surprised the socks off of me. As you can see, I have a great club.

The cards and techniques for class are as follows:

The first one is Rock n Roll. Stamps sets used are Pretty Peony and Refuge and Strength from Stampin' Up! For the Tech card I also used A Beautiful Thing. Cardstock used was Blue Bayou, River Rock and Whisper White. Stamp pads used were Blue Bayou, River Rock, Close To Cocoa and Old Olive. Accessories were brads and the new Old Olive Poly Twill Ribbon.

The second card and technique was a Shaker Card. I used set Together Forever and the coordinating wheel Forever Flowers. Cardstock is Purely Pomegranate, Regal Rose and Certainly Celery. I stamped the image with Black StazOn on Shimmery White. I colored the outer edges of the flowers with Rose Red and then used Regal Rose to color the bottom and also to blend the colors together. I used the Scallop Punch for the window and Chunky Sprinkles Stampin' Glitter out of the Occasions Mini for the inside of the shaker. Hopefully I will do an okay job blogging for you all.
