March Class

For March we made 3 cards.  Two of them used the Delicate Details Lace Tape.  That stuff is fantastic.

This first card uses the Lace Tape as a stencil.  You just place it on your card stock and sponge the color you want to use over it.  Then you gently pull the Lace Tape off.  It is just beautiful.  After you pull it off your card stock, you put it back on the plastic sheet it comes on.  Wipe it off with a wet paper towel and it is ready for another project.

On this card the Lace Tape was used as part of the card.  It is the same piece that was used to sponge the previous card.  How cool is that!?

This card uses the Pretty Bundle.  This includes the Sent With Love Stamp Set, Sent With Love Designer Series Paper and the Calypso Coral Baker's Twine.  I am in Michigan and have family living in Virginia.  I just had to have it.

Happy Valentine's Day!

Jaclyn and I made these Valentine's for her teacher, aides, friends and bus driver at school.  She cranked the Big Shot and punched images.  We had fun!  She also signed her name on the back.

The large shimmery white scalloped heart measures a good size.  5-1/4x4-3/4.  I punched a hole and added white Baker's Twine so that recipients could hang them up.

Have a great day!

2013 Leadership Swap

This is my swap card for Leadership.  I take place every year in an organized swap that Lyssa Zwolanek hosts.  And then I made a few extra and some in a different color.
This is the one for the organized swap.  I have to say that my new favorite item in the new Spring Catalog is the Natural Trim Ribbon.  It is just lovely.

Both cards are the exact same layout.  I just switched out the colors.   The Tea Lace Paper Doilies come white and I brayered them with Crumb Cake Ink.  The Designer Series Paper and Fabric are both called Tea for Two.  The torn fabric!  Love that.
Recipe:
Stamp set:  Amazing Family and Collage Curios
Ink:  Crumb Cake, Early Espresso, Baja Breeze, Calypso Coral
Card Stock:  Crumb Cake, Tea for Two Designer Series Paper, Very Vanilla
Accessories:  Honeycomb Embossing Folder, Sanding Block, Tea for two Fabric, Vanilla Flower Trim, Tea Lace Paper Doilies, Bitty Butterfly Punch, Natural Trim Ribbon, Crochet Trim

Have a great day!

Vacation and Baking

We have been in Florida for family vacation and Christmas with our daughter and her family.  Then we spent a week of relaxation in Bradenton.  Bought a car!  And now I am getting ready for more Christmas with our Daam family tonight and Davis family on Christmas day.
Will, Erin, Elise and Irelyn.
 Me, Jack and Jaclyn.

Grampy/Dad could not pass up setting up an appointment for the girls to get their hair, makeup and nails done.  Awwww!

There was even time to catch lunch with a friend!  I am so glad that worked out Nancy!

The first week in the Disney area the weather was perfect.  The 2nd week while we were at Bradenton it rained for four days.  Here is a moment with a break in the clouds on Ana Maria Island to catch the sunset and grab some shells.  It was gorgeous.

This is my new Toyota Solara!  Well, new to me!  2001, 16,100 miles!  14,500 when we bought it last week.  LOVE it.

Here is the Davis tradition of making Julekage.  Julekage is Swedish Christmas Bread.  Sooooo yummy!

The caramels need to be cut and wrapped.
I also made Ruskies!

Have a Merry Christmas!
