Stamp Case Notepad Holder and Heat Embossing

For class this month we made a stamp case into a notepad holder.  We made one of those at Leadership in January.  I decided we should use the Ice Cream Parlor Designer Series Paper & Quick Accents Pack as well as the Ribbon & Button Pack.

How bright and cheerful is this?  The "D" is from the Broadsheet Alphabet Set.  We stamped our initial and then punched it out with the 1-1/4 inch circle punch.  Then we chose a color in the DSP to punch out and layer in between that and the scalloped piece from the Accents Pack.  A piece of Old Olive Taffeta Ribbon is tied in a bow around the spine with a Trinket key tied to a tail.  Then a piece of the ribbon in the Ribbon Pack is tied to the taffeta ribbon.

Here is the inside view.  The notepad is 5x8 in size.  An inch is cut off of the bottom of the pad to fit inside the case.  A piece of the DSP covers the top.  LOVE it.
We also did Heat Embossing.  I used the Bliss set that is FREE in the Sale-a-bration catalog.  We inked the images in Versamark and then Poppy Parade to get our color and embossed with clear embossing powder.  The card uses Shimmery White Cardstock as well as the Poppy Parade.  A piece of the Poppy Parade Poly Ribbon is tied at the top.  A Basic Pearl is also added to the image.
Here is a view of just the card.  Love this set.
