Yesterday was my niece, Amy's bridal shower. I was asked to make the invitations and a "Bride to be" pin. I was asked to make a salad and a couple of cheesecakes too, but these were the fun things to do. Ha! We had such a great time. I will show what I made and at the end Amy and her sisters.
Her colors are gray, blue and off white. This is the invitation. The stamp sets are I Love Lace Background, Flower Patch and Sketched Birthday. The colors are Smoky Slate, Marina Mist and Very Vanilla. The doily is cut from filter paper using the Darling Doily Thinlit. The Flower Fair and Apothecary Accents Framelits made cutting the flower and phrase easy peasy. The new Venetian Crochet Trim is just lovely and I just had to use some linen thread. It opens like a card and all of the information needed is inside and was printed on the computer.
The Bride To Be pin was so fun. I used the same colors as above and the I Love Lace Background again with Daydream Medallions Stamp Set. I LOVE it. It was easy to cut each piece out using the Floral Frames Collection Framelits. I printed the words Bride To Be on my printer and stamped AMY with the Lovely Letters Alphabet. My niece Stacy is so funny. The day we were decorating she wore the pin. She wants to be married. She does not have a boyfriend. I pointed out to her that Amy's name was on the pin. She was very disappointed in that. ha. Anyway, lot's of pearls were used and some shimmer using alcohol and Champagne Mist paint.
Amy's gift from me was this name frame. I love making these. I try to make each one different. This one is my favorite. Although each time I make one I think that. Ha. I used a new set from the Holiday Catalog called Bright & Beautiful. The words were from a couple different sets. The name is cut from Typeset Bigz Alphabet (retired).
Here is a close up. I wrinkled the paper doily, sponged it with ink and spritzed with the Champagne Mist(retired)/Alcohol spray. The center circle is stamped using the Trust God set and I stamped the edges with one of the stars from the Bright & Beautiful set. Again, sponging was involved.

This close-up shows the shimmer.
I love this. It is one of the Designer Very Vintage Buttons. I used the new Blendabilities. They are so cool. I used Crumb Cake, Smoky Slate and Night of Navy. I just colored until it looked the way I wanted it. And I spritzed it with the shimmer paint.
Here is a photo of Amy and her husband to be.
This is Amy with all of her sisters. And if you are thinking wow. She also has 4 brothers. : )
I have to share this last photo because the beautiful woman on the left is my sister and mother of all the girls above.
Have a great day!
Debra

Beautiful job Debra!!
As always, GORGEOUS! I love each and every piece. Very neat how you "feminized" the twine by looping it like a flower.
