I've been tagged!

I have never been tagged before. Let's see if I am good at following directions. Jami tagged me and I am to go to my pictures, to the 6th folder and the 6th picture.

It is a picture of my folks. We actually had lunch together today. My Mom and Dad are the best parents anyone could have. And I don't say that lightly. They really are. They are a wonderful example to follow and they live their lives as God would want them to. I am very blessed. This isn't the best picture of my folks, but this is the picture in the designated spot! (btw, my Mom has the best skin EVER. I wish I had her complexion)

Now I have to choose 6 people to tag.

Pegg

Emma

Ann

Lynn

Crystal

Dawn Marie

This is what you do ladies:

•Open your photo folder on your computer

•Open the 6th folder of photos

•Select the 6th picture

•Post the picture on your blog with a description

•Invite six friends to join the challenge

I hope you join in and play!!!

•Link your six friends to your blog post

Birthday's Galore!!!

Tomorrow night we are celebrating birthdays. Mine, Jack's and Hali's (Dave's girl).

I covered this candle jar for one of her gift's. Isn't it sooo cute!!! I used the Raspberry Tart DSP. This is the first I have use this paper and it is just beautiful. The top was fun to do! I used the Circle Scissor Plus (this tool is incredible) to cut the piece to cover. Then the Flower, Daisies #2 to make the topper. The center for that is a half pearl from the Pretties Kit.

No stamping and a very fun thing to put together.

Accordian Girls Class

There is a girls group at our church called HeartLife. Once or twice a year I am asked to have a stamp class for a small group of them. Tonight will be 5th graders and they wanted to do something with scrapbooking. This is hard for me and I don't scrapbook much. But I asked the leader if they would like to make a small friend booklet to put pictures in. She said yes and I decided to have them make an accordian type thing.
Here is the cover.
Here is the inside.
Recipe:
Sets: Polka Dot Punches, Celebrate Everything, Beautiful Borders
Pads: Bashful Blue, Certainly Celery, So Saffron, Sahara Sand
CS: Same as the pads plus Delicate Dots DSP
Accessories: Lots of punches!!! Ribbon Bundle

February Class - Birthday Focus

The techniques for this month were Paper Tole and Watercolor Wash and the focus was birthdays. I had another simple card because Emma got me all excited about a punched no layer card.
This is SUCH fun. I used the wide oval punch to create the
window. Isn't this just adorable!? The flower is from the set Bella's Bloom and is inked with Always Artichoke and Not Quite Navy markers. Then the image is just stamped through the window. The celebrate your day is from the set Celebrate Everything. I used the Stamp a ma jig to stamp celebrate. The horizontal slot punch was used to punch a hole in the folded edge to slip the artichoke ribbon through. Cardstock for this is Confetti Cream.

I have wanted to demonstrate Paper Tole for awhile now and decided to use the bird from Friends 24-7 to do it. The Sage Shadow ribbon has been nagging at me and it is perfect with our new gorgeous To The Nines Specialty DSP. It is a heavier DSP and textured. The Eyelet Punch was a must to use.
Sets: Friends 24-7, All Holidays, Friendly Words Jumbo Wheel
CS: Sage Shadow, Always Artichoke, Chocolate Chip, Shimmery White, To The Nines Specialty DSP
Pads: Chocolate Chip, Always Artichoke, Sahara Sand, Sage Shadow
Accessories: Horizontal Slot Punch, Eyelet Border Punch, Linen Thread, Sage Shadow Grosgrain, Kraft Taffeta.

I was excited to incorporate the Top Note Die into this technique, Watercolor Wash. The Top Note is on the tin and is cut from Shimmery White. The tech card is using Watercolor Paper. Images are all stamped with Black StazOn. The flowers are felt and are called Flower Fusion. They are held on by a clear rhinestone brad.

To Watercolor Wash. You take your Watercolor Crayons (I used Old Olive, Pumpkin Pie and Rose Red) and scribble across your cardstock or paper. Using a brush or Aquapainter brush over the colors and blend them to the desired look. Dry completely and then stamp your image.
