Mixed Bunch & Blossom Punch Class

This is what we did for class last night.  I found the Easter Basket over on Brenda Quintana's Blog.  You can see that here .  It's adorable don't you think?  The other 2 projects were ideas from Leadership in San Antonio.

Easter Basket

Supplies:  Mixed Bunch Set
                 Blossom Punch
                 Dotted Scallop Ribbon Border Punch
                 Assorted Cardstock
                 Assorted Ink
                 Ribbon

Punch out 7 Flowers.  One green, 3 yellow, 3 color of your choice.
Bend each petal in and crease on each flower.
The green flower is the base.  Take one color and put glue on one petal.  Attach it to the green on the bottom.

 Line up the crease.

Attach the next flower the same way, overlapping the previous flower.
Do this with each flower, alternating colors.  On the last flower, tuck it behind the first flower.

Another view of tucking it behind.
Glue each side petal to the basket.

Turn the basket over and glue each bottom petal to the bottom.

Punch out a handle with the Dotted Scallop Ribbon Border Punch.  Attach one side in-between 2 petals.  Attach the other end to the opposite side.
Glue the rest of the petals down.  Fill with candy eggs!

Mixed Bunch CC365

Playing along with the Color Challenge today.  Very Vanilla, Blushing Bride, Wild Wasabi.  I love these colors together.  I grabbed Mixed Bunch because it was already out on my table.  I embossed with clear embossing powder and sponged.  The Emboss Resist Technique.  I stacked the flowers together with a dimensional between each.  Of course I can't leave it alone and used Blushing Bride Smooch Spritz.
Here is a side view to show the layering.
Sets:  Mixed Bunch, Fabulous Phrases.
Ink:  Wild Wasabi, Blushing Bride, Versamark
Cardstock:  Wild Wasabi, Blushing Bride, Very Vanilla, Designer Cuts

TLC367 Rue Des Fleurs

The challenge over on SCS today is One Color/No Color.  As I was going through my stuff I decided to use a stamp set that hasn't seen much ink.  Rue Des Fleurs.  In fact, I have only used one image from it.  I wanted to use the umbrella.   I am not understanding the pocket watches...  Why you ask did I get it?  Because I really do love the umbrella itself.  Then I decided to use a color that I haven't used since David and Hali's wedding.  I was very tired of black by the time they were married.  Really tired.  So why did I choose that color?  Well, I have this beautiful black flocked paper from the Mocha Morning Designer Series that I haven't even attempted to cut yet.

I went kind of nutso with the pearls, but I love it!  Black might be back in my favor.  I have use for a sympathy card so used that instead of the thanks that comes with the set.
Sets:  Rue Des Fleurs, Teeny Tiny Wishes
Cardstock:  Basic Black, Very Vanilla, Mocha Morning Designer Series Paper
Ink:  Basic Black
Accessories:  Basic Pearls, Basic Black Satin Ribbon, Victoria Crochet Trim, Hat Pin

Have a great day!
