2011 New Catty Swap

This card was made for a new catty swap that I was in.  I am just now taking the time to get it uploaded.  Life has been crazy busy!  My son David is getting married in a week and a half.  Not as busy as the bride's parents but busy nonetheless.  Phew!  I am so excited!!!

ANYway.  Here is the card I swapped.
I used my favorite color at the time.  Calypso Coral.  Pool Party is a close second.  Or maybe it is first this week?  I just love both of those colors.  But I digress.
Stamp Sets:  Creative Elements, Hello Doily
Cardstock:  Naturals Ivory, Soft Suede
Ink:  Soft Suede, Calypso Coral, Early Espresso, Versamark
Accessories:  Clear Embossing Powder, Basic Pearls, Calypso Coral Ruffled Ribbon
Techniques:  Rock n Roll (surprise there, huh?), Emboss Resist
The backdrop is Paisley Petals Designer Series Paper.  Isn't that beautiful?  I love it.  And Calypso Coral isn't even a listed color for it.  It is gorgeous together.

This is most likely the last you will hear from me until after the wedding.  Next week Erin and her girls (yep, my granddaughters) Elise and Irelyn are coming in for the wedding.  WOOOHOOOO!!!  I cannot wait!

Old Friends!

Wednesday I met up with a friend that is also a fellow Stampin' Up! Demonstrator.  We were friends many years ago and then weren't in contact for many years and then found out we were both demos.  We see each other now and again, say hi and exchange hugs and how are you's.  We even see each other at Stampin' Up! Events.  Would you believe we actually only live about 10, maybe 15 minutes from each other?  We definitely need to get together and stamp!  ANYway, Jayne saw a post of mine about trees crashing down and cookies!  We met for lunch and I made her some cookies.  Lemon Meltaways to be exact!
They are a light, melt in your mouth lemony goodness!

I used the Fancy Favor Box Die, Fun Flowers Die and the Fruit & Flowers Set to make this.  LOVE the Wisteria Wonder Ruffled Ribbon and the Designer Printed Brad.

Here is the recipe if you would like to try these.

And last but not least, here is a picture of Jayne and me.
